Harley Thomas is a commercial and transformation executive who steps into businesses when growth starts to feel heavier than it should.

With more than 25 years of experience across B2C, B2B2C, DTC, dealer, and ecommerce omnichannel businesses, and experience extending into B2B, Harley partners with founders and leadership teams to bring clarity and discipline to go-to-market decisions that directly affect profit, execution, and EBITDA. His work centers on ownership — not advice — and on making complex commercial systems easier to run.

As Founder of GTM Team, Harley works inside businesses to strengthen pricing discipline, demand development, channel strategy, and operating rhythm. He takes responsibility for decisions that slow progress and create friction, helping founders regain focus while the business moves forward with clarity.

Harley has operated in environments ranging from founder-led growth companies to global enterprises, including senior leadership roles at Jockey International, Generac Power Systems, Master Lock Company (Fortune Brands Innovations), and InSinkErator (Emerson Electric). Across these settings, he has led sales, marketing, digital, and customer experience functions — carrying responsibility for revenue, pricing, demand generation, channel execution, and post-acquisition integration.

Our Story

His experience spans engineered products, appliances, consumer goods, outdoor and sporting goods, and other specialty categories. He has led go-to-market execution across national retailers, major ecommerce platforms, and independent specialty dealers, navigating margin pressure, buyer dynamics, marketing investment trade-offs, and channel conflict firsthand.

Harley’s approach translates enterprise-grade thinking into practical execution for lean teams. He applies proven GTM frameworks as a foundation, then builds right-sized operating playbooks aligned to a company’s growth stage, ownership structure, and resource reality. The objective is consistent: fewer decisions, better decisions, and cleaner execution.

In recent years, Harley has incorporated technology and AI where they create clear business value. His focus is on practical applications that improve demand visibility, pricing accuracy, and decision-making — reducing manual effort and protecting margin without introducing governance risk or initiatives that stall at pilot. His current work includes a functioning pricing prototype designed to shorten cycle times and align stakeholders around disciplined commercial decisions.

Harley does not arrive with a mandate to reorganize teams — but he does believe ownership matters. When roles, decision rights, or capabilities are misaligned, he addresses those gaps directly so the business can move forward without bottlenecks or dependency on the founder.

He is based in Milwaukee and works with founders and leadership teams across the Midwest and nationally.
